Use case · Bill
Progress invoices and the changes nobody billed
Fixed-fee jobs with advances and a final invoice, and extra work on its own milestone.
The problem
The architect emails a small change, two engineers redo the layouts over three days, and 24 hours disappear into the lump sum. At the next review the job is over budget and nobody can say why.
How it works in workelligence
- 1
Create the project with the billing type Fixed price or Milestones.
Set the budget in hours or money; the project shows its budget burn from the first entry.
- 2
Book extra work as its own milestone or sub-project.
The hours of the change request stay visible instead of disappearing into the lump sum; a milestone can carry its own amount.
- 3
Watch the health on the project list.
On track, At risk or Late, derived from the burn and the plan; projects at risk also appear in My Work.
- 4
Bill an advance when a phase is done.
Bill project → Advance (Abschlag), as a net amount or a share of the budget, with the statement of hours attached.
- 5
Close with the final invoice.
Final (Schlussrechnung) deducts every advance already billed and shows what is still due.
