Use case · Bill
Close the month from logged time
Bill a project or a retainer period in one run, with the statement of hours attached.
Example from the app: the invoice list, where a draft invoice for logged September time is sent.
The problem
At month end someone collects last month's hours from memory, spreadsheets and chat, and the invoice goes out short. The short calls and the extra round are the first to go missing.
How it works in workelligence
- 1
Open the project and click Bill project.
The wizard lists every unbilled entry and milestone of the period.
- 2
Choose the invoice type.
Standard, Partial, Advance or Final; for an advance, enter the net amount or the share of the budget.
- 3
Pick what to bill and how to group it.
By task and rate, by person, by day, by month, as a lump sum or by service. Tick Attach timesheet (Leistungsnachweis).
- 4
Check the draft and finalize.
The number is assigned at finalization, gapless; the entries on the invoice are locked.
- 5
Send it from your own mailbox.
The PDF carries the embedded e-invoice; a retainer period is billed the same way from its Retainer tab.
